NDIS Individualised Support

At MIFANT, we are passionate about the NDIS because it allows us to work with you in flexible and meaningful ways.

Starting with an NDIS plan can feel overwhelming, but don’t worry. We will guide you through every step, working at your pace and ensuring you understand your plan.

Every person and their NDIS plan are unique. Some may need support in managing their health and well-being, including assistance with attending medical appointments, managing medications, or developing healthy lifestyle habits. Others might need help developing daily living skills, such as cooking, budgeting, or personal care, to become more independent.

No matter what your unique needs and goals are, we are here to help you achieve them.

Support we offer

  • Social & Community Participation

  • Short Term Accommodation

Support Coordination and/or Recovery Coach

As support coordinators, we act as a bridge, helping you to understand and carry out your NDIS plans, connect you with community or mainstream services, manage crises, and build your ability to direct your own support. On the other hand, a Recovery Coach works closely with you to create a personalized recovery plan that focuses on your strengths, preferences, and needs.

Group and Centre Based Activities

At our Mental Health Hub, we offer a structured and supportive environment where you can explore new interests, develop valuable skills, and enhance your mental well-being. Our participants take part in tasks like watering plants and wiping tables, which help building skills and encourage responsibility.

Our activities run from Monday to Friday, offering a wide range of options to suit different interests. You can enjoy playing board games, participating in our art program, joining a BBQ, or even competing in a pool competition. Each activity is thoughtfully designed to promote social interaction, creativity, and a sense of community.

Social & Community Participation

Recognizing the crucial role support workers play in people’s lives, we take pride in carefully matching the right support worker to meet your individual needs.

Our support workers are compassionate and dedicated individuals who are committed to offering support that truly matters to you. They are motivated and focused on providing reliable assistance, always guided by a genuine, person-centered approach that respects and values your personal journey.

Short Term Accommodation

Our Karama Cottage provides welcoming overnight stays for you or your caregivers. You can relax and work on independent living skills with the support of our recovery workers. We also offer respite accommodation for caregivers, allowing them to recharge while you are cared for in a supportive environment.

Eligibility

To be eligible for MIFANT’s NDIS services, you must be aged between 18-65 years old, have a primary psychosocial disability and an NDIS plan.
