Carer Services

Carer Services

One in five will experience some form of mental illness in their lifetime. If a friend or a loved one has been diagnosed with a mental illness you are not alone and we can help. Here at MIFA(NT) we understand that when someone is diagnosed with a mental illness, they are not the only one affected by symptoms and changes in behaviour. Families and carers also need support to understand and manage the changes presented by their loved ones and also to affectively look after themselves.

Our range of carer programs provides information and education about mental illness, being a carer and the mental health system. Our services also include respite, individual and group support and advocacy.

For more information about our carer services, please call our Carer Support Coordinator in Darwin on 08 8948 1051 or Alice Springs 08 8953 1467
