Mental Health Week Annual Dinner

To celebrate Mental Health Week, we will be hosting the 5th Annual Mental Health Dinner to bring the community together for a night of dining and entertainment in raising awareness for mental health. 

To make this event more remarkable, sporting legend Louisa Lulu Hawton will join us!

Lulu, also known as "Bang Bang Lulu" is a mother-of-two, and has been ranked 7th in the world with skateboarding and became a two-time World Boxing Champion while struggling with her mental health.

You’ll also have the chance to win tourism vouchers of exclusive getaways, scenic flights, and Top End activities.

The 5th Annual Dinner will include:

  • 3-course alternate drop from the very best at the Oak Elan Resort
  • All evening entertainment by performer Annemarie as MC
  • Live music by popular musician James Damien
  • Dine with health advocates and local sponsors to share stories & advice
  • Monthly gym membership giveaways
  • Health and wellness prizes up for grabs

Mental Health Week is an annual awareness week that aims to shine a spotlight on individual and community mental health and wellbeing.

The MIFANT Annual Art Exhibition provides those whose lives have been affected by mental health concerns the opportunity to use art as a form of expression, and to engage the community in a better understanding of mental health issues.

Open Day:
  • Winners for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places
  • Local artists & guest speakers
  • Live music by local artist James Damien
  • Spectacular magic show performance by Amazing Miss Deb
  • BBQ lunch

National Carers Week is an opportunity to raise community awareness among all Australians about the diversity of carers and their caring roles.

Come and celebrate ‘Millions of Reasons to Care’ for our carers across Australia with us down at the Waterfront Lawn.

Mifant and other health and wellbeing organisations will host:
  • Information stalls about mental wellbeing and the carers role
  • Zumba dancing with Zumba Sistas Darwin
  • Line dancing
  • Wellness activities
