Volunteer

Have you considered volunteering?  Giving some time to assist others can be a very rewarding and fullfilling experience.  In addition to helping organisations such as MIFA(NT) it can also assist you in improving health, lifting self esteem and gaining skills for your future.

All our social and recreational programs and activities have room for volunteers and we encourage your participation, especially for special events such as Schizophrenia Awareness Week, Mental Health Week, Carers Week. You can also help out in our offices in Darwin and Alice Springs.

If you would like to volunteer, call us on 8948 1051 to discuss options.  Volunteers will be required to undergo formal police checks.

From one of our volunteers:

“It’s a fun place to volunteer and I feel like I’m a valued member of a team at Mental Health Carers.” – S.D. administration volunteer
